Impact Days, Books4Home
Blackmore Vale Rotary is supporting Rotary’s Books4Home initiative is designed to spark a love of reading by giving children the chance to own a book of their very own, especially in communities where many young people have no books at home. This programme promotes reading for pleasure, boosts literacy, and supports the environment by re‑using good‑quality pre‑read books rather than sending them to landfill. By placing books directly into children’s hands to take home and keep, Books4Home helps build confidence, imagination, and lifelong learning.

TheGreat UK Water Blitz - Spring & Autumn Surveys
Blackmore Vale Rotary proudly takes part in the Great UK Water Blitz, joining thousands of volunteers across the country to test the health of our local rivers, streams, and ponds. By collecting real water‑quality data right here in our community, our members help shine a light on pollution levels and support national efforts to protect and restore the UK’s freshwater habitats. It’s hands‑on citizen science that empowers us to safeguard the environment on our doorstep while contributing to a much bigger picture.
